The Concept of Water is a book by R.D.V. Glasgow. The book examines the contradictions of water as both a projection of our hopes and aspirations, and an embodiment of our fears and darkest anxieties.
The clip was made in cooperation with Christopher Adjei.

Together with Susanne Kehrer and Ruth Preywisch we organized the the third international translations-symposium under the heading »authorship in design – autorschaft im design« and developed the CD. The project leaders were Prof. Isabel Naegele and Prof. Philipp Pape. While Susanne Kehrer designed all the printed matter I made website and the teaser animations for the speakers.
The website is based on Wordpress and the drag&drop plugin was coded by Thomas Lempa.

I graduated with this work at the university of Applied Sciences in Mainz.
The result of my diploma is a pictorial language, a dynamic website, a blog,
a motiongraphics documentary and a poster with all PICOL signs (below).

PICOL is an project for providing free and open icons for electronic devices.
The aim is to find a common pictorial language for electronic communication
and to ease the navigation. All icons free to use and open to alter.
Soon all icons will be available for download on www.picol.org.
Further news on this project can be seen on the Blog.

This project was awarded at :output 12 and is published in the output book

The history of the Internet

Short Description
“History of the internet” is an animated documentary explaining the inventions fromtime-sharing to file-sharing, from arpanet to internet.
The clip shows a brief overview of this history and shall animate to go on discovering the history of the internet. The history is told with help of the PICOL icons, which are also a part of my diploma. The icons are available for free on picol.org in the size 32×32 pixel
